In Stock
Gold Medal Winner, National Wine Awards of Canada 2022
This bold Bordeaux style blend is true to the rocky soils of River Stone with a rich earthy minerality and is presently showing ripe black berry fruit including, black current, black cherry, plum with hints of vanilla, tobacco, mocha, wild sage and French oak. It has balanced acidity and moderate silky tannins that will soften in time. This wine is drinking nicely now and will continue to age well 7 - 10 years.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Stones Throw is a premium red blend of Merlot (73%), Malbec (12%), Cabernet Sauvignon (10%) and Petit Verdot (5%). All varietals are grown in our vineyard within a Stones Throw of each other. Each grape brings its own distinctive character to the blend creating a rich full-bodied wine of distinctive complexity. This wine was matured in 14 months of French oak and should age well 7-10 years.
Other Notes
"Grapes grown a stones throw from each other, this blend of merlot, malbec, cabernet sauvignon and petit verdot is distinctly peppery on the palate, so much so that if you're a fan of Rhône style syrah, you'll likely find this Bordeaux-style blend an absolute delight, as did I. Featuring an appealing juxtaposition of savoury and sweetly ripened fruit. Elegant oak spice is finely integrated and plays a notably supportive role. Well-made and widely appealing. Best now to 2027. Tasted June 2022." 92 Points,
